McKinsey: Industry Trends in a Recession

An associate sent us this link to a recent McKinsey study of recessionary trends in various industries. McKinsey studies are not written to support portfolio-management strategy, but this one does isolate a number of countercyclical consumer-spending categories.

It is also interesting to see how stable global petrochemical consumption has been to date, especially against the backdrop of crashing crude prices. ♦
